HONEST MATERIALS

Warm, honest oak

Oak has a visible grain and a gentle range of natural colour. It brings warmth without needing a complicated finish.

A material to live with

Oak is a natural material, so two boards rarely look identical. Grain, medullary rays and small shifts in colour are expected features of the timber. We use these differences to give a piece character rather than trying to make it look like a printed surface.

Look at it in your room

Bring the material into the light where it will be used. Morning and evening light can make a finish feel quite different, and the colours nearby will affect how warm or cool it appears. Choose a combination that feels comfortable over time rather than relying only on a small screen image.

Simple care

Avoid direct heat and standing water. Dust with a dry soft cloth and use protective mats beneath hot or wet objects.
