TESSA ROWAN · STUDIO NOTES
Measure the journey, not just the room
A useful delivery plan starts at the street and follows every doorway, stair and turn.
Start outside
Look at where a delivery vehicle could safely stop and how the piece would reach the entrance. Note steps, narrow paths, gates and any restricted access. A clear description helps a delivery team plan the right equipment and the right number of people.
Find the narrowest point
Measure the clear opening of doors rather than the frame. Check the height and width of lifts, the diagonal of a stairwell and the space available to turn at a landing. Handrails, low lights and door closers can reduce the useful space even when a doorway seems generous.

Compare the selected option
Use the dimensions of the exact size or finish you have selected. Ask whether legs or handles can be removed and whether assembly takes place in the room. Do not assume that a smaller package or a removable part is available without checking.
Share the difficult part
A quick sketch and a few clear photographs are often more useful than a long description. Tell the studio about anything uncertain before arranging a date. A good plan leaves room for safe handling and avoids making decisions in a narrow hallway on delivery day.
A few clear measurements and a useful conversation are worth more than a hurried decision.
